Introduction and Definitions
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter "T&C") govern the distance sale of artisan food products through the website anticogranaio.eu (hereinafter "Website"), operated by Antico Granaio Food S.r.l., registered office at Via Vico II La Martella, 5, 75100 Matera (MT), Italy, VAT IT01410620775, REA MT-213407 (hereinafter "Seller").
"Consumer" means any natural person who purchases products for purposes unrelated to any business, commercial, craft or professional activity, in accordance with Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).
Placing an order through the Website implies full acceptance of these T&C.
Subject of the Contract
These T&C regulate the online sale of artisan Lucanian food products (taralli, pasta, pastries, snacks and other regional specialities) sold by the Seller through the Website. Essential product details — including ingredients, weight, price and allergens — are shown on each product page. Images are for illustrative purposes; actual products may vary slightly in appearance due to their artisan nature.
Prices and Payment Methods
All prices displayed on the Website are in Euros (EUR), inclusive of VAT and all applicable taxes. Shipping costs, calculated based on destination and order weight, are shown during checkout before order confirmation.
Accepted payment methods:
- Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe
- PayPal
- Bank transfer (order is processed upon receipt of payment)
Payment is required at the time of order. For bank transfers, the order is reserved for 5 business days; if payment is not received within this period, the order is automatically cancelled.
Order Process and Contract Formation
An order is completed as follows:
1. Select products and add to cart
2. Enter shipping and billing details
3. Choose a payment method
4. Review the order summary and accept the T&C
5. Confirm the order and submit payment
The contract is formed when the Consumer receives the order confirmation email. The Seller reserves the right to decline incomplete orders, failed payments, or orders where products are unavailable.
Shipping and Delivery
All orders are dispatched via tracked express courier.
Estimated delivery times:
- Italy: 2–4 business days from dispatch
- Europe: 5–8 business days from dispatch
These are estimates and do not constitute a binding deadline. In any event, delivery will take place within 30 days of order confirmation. If delivery does not occur within 30 days, the Consumer has the right to cancel the contract.
The Consumer should inspect the packaging upon delivery and report any visible damage to the courier.
Right of Withdrawal
Under Articles 52 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), the Consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the products, without stating any reason and without penalty.
Exceptions (Article 59 Consumer Code):
The right of withdrawal is excluded for:
- Products liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (fresh/perishable items)
- Sealed products unsuitable for return on health or hygiene grounds that have been opened after delivery
Sealed, non-perishable, unopened products may be returned within 14 days.
To exercise withdrawal:
Send a clear notification (email to info@anticogranaio.eu or via the contact form) stating: name, surname, order number and products to be returned. You may use the standard withdrawal form below, but this is not mandatory.
Products must be returned intact, in their original sealed packaging, within 14 days of the withdrawal notice. Return shipping costs are borne by the Consumer. The refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving the return, using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
